Group Therapy

We do not have to walk through our life alone. One of the most helpful parts of healing is developing a robust support network. Group therapy or support groups can be an important part of that healing journey. Sure, it can feel intimidating to consider attending a group full of strangers, where you anticipate sharing your most intimate life experiences and inner thoughts. That is a scary thought for most of us. It is also a liberating experience - realizing that you are not alone, that there is support and help available to you, and that you can be received with kindness and compassion by more people than just your therapist.

At The Journey Center, we have a variety of therapy and support groups at any given time, to support you along your way. All of our groups are led by experienced and credentialed therapists, who lead with compassion and curiosity, and who cultivate a safe place for every person who attends. We highly value safety and fit. For this reason, before you attend your first group, you will have a mini consultation with the leading therapist. They will ask questions to get to know you and make sure it is a good fit for you at this time. This is also your opportunity to ask questions and ease your mind before your first group session.

Take a look through our current and future group offerings. See if one of these supportive experiences will help you feel more confident, grounded, and connected.
